A 60-year-old coronavirus positive woman died at a hospital in Rajasthan’s Bikaner today. Meanwhile 12 fresh positive coronavirus cases were reported from Rajasthan, taking the tally to 191. Of the new cases, eight can be linked to the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi in mid-March, s per the state health department.
“A 60-year-old Covid-19 positive woman patient passed away in Rajasthan’s Bikaner, earlier today. 12 new positive cases confirmed in Rajasthan, taking the total number of cases to 191 including 41 Tablighi Jamaat (Delhi) attendees: State Health Department.
The entire state has been in a lockdown since 22 March and massive survey and screening is underway to trace possible infected people.
Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus cases in India has surged to 2,902. Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh registered a huge jump in number of cases this week. The death toll in the country has climbed to 68. There are 2,650 active coronavirus patients in the country, according to ministry of health and welfare. As many as 183 people have been recovered from the deadly disease.
